Todd B. Eder has practiced law for over 40+ years and is a New Jersey Supreme Court Board certified civil trial attorney.

He established the Law Offices of Todd Brandon Eder now known as Eder Law Firm in East Brunswick, New Jersey in 1997. His litigation practice is concentrated in the areas of personal injury, workers’ compensation, professional malpractice, divorce, and criminal, traffic and DUI defense. Todd B. Eder is also experienced in handling all of your real estate needs, whether purchasing, selling or refinancing.

Todd B. Eder obtained his law degree in 1980 from the University of Tulsa College of Law. He is a member of the New Jersey, New York, Florida, Pennsylvania, California (inactive) and Texas (inactive) bars and admitted to practice before the federal courts of New Jersey and New York, the 3rd U.S. Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Mr. Eder was certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a civil trial attorney in 1994, and has been continuously re-certified every five years. New Jersey certified attorneys must meet the following criteria: be a member of the NJ bar in good standing for at least five years; complete continuing legal education requirements; demonstrate substantial involvement in preparation of litigated matters; possess an unblemished reputation among judges and attorneys; and initially pass a written examination covering various aspects of practice in the designated specialty.

In 2010, Mr. Eder was certified by the National Board of Legal Specialty Certification, [NBLSC], an American Bar Association accredited organization granting legal specialty certifications, as a “Board Certified Civil Trial Advocate” based upon his legal knowledge, skills and proficiency. Mr. Eder serves as a court-appointed arbitrator for the Superior Court Middlesex County mandatory personal injury arbitration program, and was formerly an arbitrator for the United States District Court of New Jersey’s arbitration program.

Prior to opening his own firm, Mr. Eder honed his courtroom skills as a member of a Middlesex County personal injury litigation firm for 10 years representing injury victims and at an insurance defense law firm representing defendants for four years. He began his career as an assistant prosecutor for Hudson County, where he tried criminal matters before the Superior Court Criminal and Juvenile Divisions for three years.

Mr. Eder has had many gratifying experiences during his legal career, but his proudest accomplishment was through his affiliation with “Trial Lawyers Care,” a legal services program providing free representation to more than 1,700 September 11 victim families, where Mr. Eder represented a 9-11 widow who lost her husband and the father of her two sons at the Pentagon.

He is currently a member of the American Association for Justice-New Jersey, New Jersey Bar Association, and Middlesex County Bar Association.
